Abstract:
Sur une periode de un an (mars 1974 :1 mars 1975) 572 enfants ont ete hospitalises dans le service de pediatrie du C.H.U. LOGMANDOLEH ADHAM, de l'Universite Nationale d'lran. a Teheran. 69 deces ont ete constates (] 3 "{, des malades admis) dont les 3/4 concernaient les enfants ages de moins de 24 mois, l'autopsie a ete effectuce chez 73,8';{, des enfants decedes dans le service. Environ 40·:-;, des enfants ages de moins de deux ans souffraient d'une malnutrition protido-calorique. La confrontation des donnees cliniques et anatomo-pathologiques a mis en evidence twis causes principales de la mortalite infantile dans ce service recevant Jes enfants des classes economiquement defavorisees : 1)la tuberculose, 2) la dcshydratati0n par la gastro-cnterite, 3) Jes infections pyogeniques surtout broncho-pulmonaircs.
